Welcome to Cambodian Youth Action (CYA), where we believe in the power of volunteering to create positive change in communities around the world. Our organization is dedicated to facilitating meaningful volunteer experiences by hosting national & international volunteers, sending our Cambodian volunteers abroad, and organizing events & trainings. 1. Volunteering in Cambodia
We provide a comprehensive support system for national and international volunteers who want to contribute their time and skills to local projects. We host Short-Term Volunteering (Int’l workcamp & Group workcamp last from 1 – 4 weeks) and Long-Term Volunteering (2 – 12 months). Our hosting services include:
Project Offering: We offer volunteers local projects that match their skills and interests in areas such as education, healthcare, environmental conservation, and community development.
Orientation and Training: Detailed pre-arrival information and comprehensive on-site orientation help volunteers understand the local culture and project requirements.
Cultural Exchange: Opportunities for cultural immersion and language exchange with local communities.
Accommodation and Meals: Volunteers are provided with safe, simple housing options including homestays, partner accommodation, and volunteer houses. local and culturally appropriate meals are included.
Local Support: 24/7 support from our dedicated team to assist with any issues or questions during the volunteer’s stay.
Project Activities: Volunteers engage in meaningful activities specific to their projects, maximizing their impact and involvement.

Trapaing Sangke Fishing Community (TFC)

Development for Cambodian Children (DCC)
Since 2002, DCC has been dedicated to empowering local children and teenagers. Our programs equip them with essential English competency and computer skills while actively involving them in community development. Join us in transforming lives and shaping a brighter future for youth.
2. Volunteering abroad
We empower local individuals to expand their horizons by volunteering on international projects and providing extensive support throughout the process. Our sending services include:
Volunteer Placements: We collaborate with reputable organizations globally to offer diverse project opportunities in areas such as education, healthcare, environmental conservation, refugee, and community development.
Travel Arrangements: We assist with all logistical needs, including visa applications, travel insurance, and flight bookings, ensuring a smooth transition.
Pre-Departure Training: Comprehensive training sessions cover cultural sensitivity, safety protocols, and project-specific information to prepare volunteers for their international journey.
Ongoing Support: Our team maintains regular contact with volunteers during their time abroad, providing support and addressing any concerns to ensure a safe and fulfilling experience.
Reintegration Support: Upon return, volunteers participate in debriefing sessions and are encouraged to share their experiences, fostering a community of returned volunteers and continuous learning.
