About the Program
YSC: Global Leadership Fellowship is CYA’s flagship long-term program. It offers committed individuals the opportunity to take genuine leadership roles in rural Cambodian education.
Unlike short-term volunteering, YSC Fellows own projects, build sustainable impact, and work alongside local teams and international short-term volunteers.
VISION
To build a sustainable, multi-generational ecosystem that empowers youth and transforms education in rural Cambodia through cross-cultural collaboration and mentorship.
The Fellowship Journey

Followship Roles & Responsibilities
As a YSC Fellow, you transition from participant to leader. You will take ownership of meaningful work while collaborating closely with local teams.
Your core responsibilities include:
- Delivering engaging English and digital literacy sessions for students (ages 10–15) using creative, student-centered methods.
- Facilitating workshops and dialogues with teachers, parents, and community leaders to build stronger school-community relationships.

- Leading and coordinating short-term international volunteer teams during joint activities, ensuring smooth collaboration and knowledge transfer.
- Contributing to school transformation efforts that enhance student engagement and retention.
You will work hand-in-hand with Cambodian youth volunteers and gradually assume greater responsibility as you progress through the program.
